EVA Dow DuPont 260
EVA Dow DuPont 260
Product Introduction EVA Dow DuPont 260 is an ethylene‑vinyl‑acetate copolymer resin with vinyl acetate (VA) content of 28 wt% and melt flow rate (MFR) of 6 g/10min.
Main Applications
Shoe‑materials & Foamed Products: Commonly used for foamed midsoles of sports and casual shoes, foam slippers, sandals, as well as building materials such as sound‑insulating boards and gymnastics mats. Its foamed articles deliver softness, good elasticity and chemical‑corrosion resistance.
Films and Sheets: Used for packaging films including food‑packaging films and heat‑shrinkable films, functional agricultural greenhouse films, and intermediate layers for polyolefin laminated films.
Hot‑melt Adhesives & Sealants: Suitable for hot‑melt adhesive production for book binding, furniture edge‑banding and electronic assembly. Also applied in adhesives, sealants and wax blends.
Injection‑molded Products: Applied to toys, consumer goods, sports equipment, automotive accessories such as shock absorbers, fenders, interior & exterior trim parts, and household‑appliance components.
Wire and Cable: Suitable for wire sheaths with insulation and chemical‑corrosion‑resistant properties.
Other Applications: Also includes sealing container lids, industrial components, pipes, fitness equipment, and medical‑industry articles such as tubes, catheters and surgical‑device parts.

Applicable Processes
‑Injection Molding: For toys, automotive parts and household‑appliance components. ‑Extrusion Molding: Commonly used for films, sheets and wire‑cable sheaths. ‑Blow Molding: For hollow articles. ‑Foaming Molding: For foamed products such as shoe materials and padding materials. ‑Hot‑melt Processing: Suitable for preparation of adhesives and sealants. ‑Compression Molding, Structural Foam Molding and other processes.
Processing Characteristics
Drying: Drying before processing is recommended if the material absorbs moisture to avoid bubbles or silver streaks in finished parts. Refer to supplier’s suggestions for specific drying temperature and duration.
Processing Temperature: It is critical for EVA processing. Melt temperature is generally recommended not to exceed 230°C. EVA resin has low thermal‑decomposition temperature; excessively high temperature will easily cause material degradation.
Mold Temperature: Relatively low mold temperature is generally recommended.
Equipment Selection: Conventional thermoplastic‑processing equipment can be adopted.
Cooling: Products normally require rapid cooling for setting.
